As I was sitting by the boardwalk this morning, I heard several birds chirping, cheeping, tweeting, chirruping, singing, and cawing. I even saw a few of these lovely birds, which included robins, gulls, pigeons, and a few others that I was unable to identify. I recorded some of the sounds I heard during my peaceful time by the water.
Here are the sounds of the birds (copy and paste the url in a separate window to open):

Though I did not see any animal tracks, I discovered a bird feather and I saw one or two birds nests high in the trees.
Nice picture of the gull! I spent alot of time watching them at my spot. I wonder why you would want to be a seagull on Lake Champlain- seems too cold for me haha
ReplyDeleteEvery time I see these gulls at Lake Champlain, I cannot help but think they are a little far from the sea..ha. Thanks for the posts of the bird sounds, that's pretty cool.
ReplyDeleteYour place should be a great place to view ducks as the ice finally begins to break up. Many species stop along the shore during their migration north. I could not open the sounds, but I am glad you posted them.
ReplyDeleteHahaha now every time I hear a bird call I try to tell if it was a chirp, cheep, tweet, chirrup, sing, or a caw. Very descriptive sounds
